Primary Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Measures, cuts and bends wire and conduit, using a tape measure and hand tools Operates power tools such as drills, saws, pullers, tuggers, etc.
Installs conductors in raceway and cable tray using manual and power equipment Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as wiring, conduit and motors Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches, tools and equipment Disassembles defective electrical equipment, such as motors, using hand tools Load, transport, unload, and furnish Journeyman and Foreman Electricians with materials, equipment, tools, and supplies May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation Uses scissor and boom lifts Perform housekeeping duties as required Perform other routine duties as directed by an experienced craft person Work safely and follow all safety guidelines Language Skills:
Ability to communicate (written and oral) effectively with another team members to accomplish the goals of each project.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform arithmetical operations accurately Reasoning Ability:
Ability to information using measurable standards Ability to work cooperatively with others Ability to follow specific directions and ask clarifying questions Ability to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure Ability to work within standards of accuracy Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or
Experience:
Successful completion of the first year of coursework from a Trade School, Technical College or approved Apprenticeship Training Program required; additional on-the-job training helpful.
Quliafactions:
