POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Strategy Officer implements a systematic approach to the development and execution of organizational strategy. The CSO works with the executive team, board of trustees, clinic staff and external stakeholders to ensure that a planned and consistent approach to strategy is sustained and progress is routinely and objectively assessed, measured and communicated. The CSO explores and executes strategic initiatives and alternatives and examines potential partnerships, joint ventures and alliances to drive organizational growth, service expansion and meet community need.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
MBA, Masters in Human Services Administration or Public Health Administration and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in program development, strategic planning and execution, organizational management/improvement of complex settings is required.
Demonstrates creativity as a problem solver with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience and ability in leading and participating on teams addressing complex projects and producing systematic organizational change.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the President/CEO in creating, communicating, executing and monitoring strategic initiatives.
Utilizes scenario and situational based planning to maintain a fluid planning process that is formally updated on an annual basis and adjusted as new market opportunities arise.
Performs primary market research, market intelligence gathering, and market forecasting to ensure that the executive team and board of trustees are able to understand implications of various choices in order to make informed decisions regarding market and service expansions, changes or eliminations.
Synthesizes information from multiple sources to generate insights and recommendations on opportunities.
Develops innovative, creative proposals for public and private payers for new healthcare service line development and responds effectively to new models of financing in healthcare.
Develops external and internal relationships and partnerships to further development and goals.
Partners with President/CEO to communicate and translate clinic strategy across all product lines.
Creates healthy dialogues and promotes teaming by facilitating creative tension among executives and executes organizational process changes effectively.
Implements new business as assigned by President/CEO.
Develops, implements, and maintains project timelines and effectively identifies and eliminates barriers to successful implementation.
Promotes a person centered orientation to care, evidenced based practice, exceptional customer service, patient satisfaction, process efficiency and outcome measurement in all product line development and new ventures.
Connects and integrates multi-disciplinary teams, supports a teaming approach internally and externally.
Supports the development of a learning organization that encourages others to seek and try new ideas, encourages and promotes diversity and non traditional, strengths based approaches to problem solving.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
