POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor oversees the overall management of the day-to-day care of the youth, operation of the facility, supervision of the Direct Care Counselors, and oversight of the household budget. The Supervisor works an alternate schedule with the Assistant Program Supervisor to ensure supervisory coverage throughout the week and works with Assistant Program Supervisor and Program Manager to foster team-building and positive program development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in related field or 5 years experience working with high need youth and their families of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, as well as exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Program Manager to maintain a positive atmosphere within the milieu and ensure the well-being of the youth and staff in a safe physical environment.
Oversees, assists with and delegates daily tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of the homes (staffing, housekeeping, shopping, and transportation) and meeting the daily needs of the youth (appointment scheduling, programming, emotional, educational, behavioral, medical, etc.).
Works with the Assistant Program Supervisor to create the staff schedule, provide coverage for staffing gaps and manages staff overtime, according to departmental standards.
Provides 24-hour on-call coverage, according to standards mandated by licensing and regulatory agencies, in rotation with the Assistant Program Supervisor.
Provides regularly scheduled supervision for Direct Care Counselors and the Assistant Program Supervisor.
Takes the lead in recruitment, hiring, and retention of new staff.
Facilitates community meetings with youth and co-facilitates weekly staff meetings with the Program Manager.
Orients new staff, youth and families to the home and program.
Works collaboratively with the clinical team to promote successful goal attainment in the milieu and monitors quality and completeness of milieu notes, ensuring documentation of clinical goal attainment in the milieu.
Maintains required certifications and administers medication to youth according to standards mandated by licensing and regulatory agencies, as well as Wheeler Clinic policies.
Participates in and promotes quality improvement and outcome measure activities, submits all required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
Serves as role model for staff to promote strong work ethic and the use of evidence-based trauma-informed relational approaches/models of intervention with youth and families, as well as other staff members.
Ensures that staff provides culturally competent care and maintain sensitivity to and respect for clients' cultural traditions, values, and beliefs.
Reports suspected child abuse/neglect, as mandated and adheres to confidentiality guidelines.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
Demonstrates leadership by reinforcing positive behavior and promoting recognition through the use of effective employee evaluations, employee appreciation, effective hiring practices, and accountability.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
