Lead Coffee Roaster
Sun Coffee Roasters is looking for an energetic coffee enthusiast to join our production team as Lead Roaster in our Plainville, Connecticut coffee plant. Candidate must be either be an experienced Roast Master or open to learning the craft of roasting coffee and dedicated to quality standards set by Sun Coffee Roasters. Experience with a boutique roaster is a plus.
Responsibilities
Understand or to learn the craft of coffee roasting through instruction, observation and learned application.
Track all roasted batches using our color and grind analysis equipment
Assist in all duties (weighing out green batches, setting up cuppings, blending roasted batches, organizing roast samples).
Perform maintenance duties on roaster and grinder.
Continue to strengthen palate through daily cuppings.
Keep all work areas clean

Dedicated to your craft and demonstrate a true love for coffee
Punctual, reliable, attentive to detail, honest and take pride in your work
Competent on the computer, possess basic computer skills (MS Excel and Word)
Real team player
Able to lift 40 lbs
